I have recently joined PlanB Consulting, having returned to Scotland following a three-year stay in Australia. I am looking forward to bringing my extensive media, sales and client relationship experience to the Business Continuity field, and helping to grow PlanB’s reputation as a first-class provider of BC services.
I have a background in media and communications, having spent more than seven years at the Evening Express newspaper in Aberdeen, predominantly as Chief Sub Editor. Working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced office environment means I am confident of tackling time-sensitive tasks in an efficient manner, without compromising on quality and accuracy. I also have an excellent grasp of incident response from the media standpoint and can offer clients valuable insight into how media outlets respond to incidents and emergencies.
Prior to joining PlanB I worked with a sales and marketing company in Melbourne, providing fundraising and branding solutions to various respected national charities. This face-to-face role involved building relationships with clients and customers from all industries and backgrounds. During this time I also completed an Advanced Diploma in Business Management, which included a unit on Business Continuity and Risk Management; this first ignited my interest in the industry which, along with my passion for customer service and client solutions, has led me to this role.

I love travelling and experiencing other cultures. I am also a big fan of most sports, particularly football, and have the dubious honour of supporting Dunfermline Athletic FC.
