The human threat of business email compromise scam emails

A recent blog posted on Crisis Response by David Stewart, interestingly stated that although a large amount of focus is on cyber security in many organisations today, too many people still believe the threat to be purely technology-based.

A recent report published on Data Breach Investigations (The Verizon 2017 Data Breach Investigations Report) found that 43% of data breaches were related to 'social engineering' tactics.

The report highlighted that it was generally down to 'human error' that caused major cyber breaches and organisational financial loss.
