He has presented on supply chain at a number of seminars and conferences and was asked to write the chapter on supply chain for the latest edition of the Definitive handbook of business continuity management.

 Supply Chain Risks

Case Study – EDF Energy

PlanB was commissioned as part of a major business continuity programme to lead the Supply Chain part of the Programme. The objective of the project was “To ensure that the loss of a supplier or service provider does not have a major impact on EDF Energy”.

As part of the 7 month project PlanB developed a criteria for identifying key suppliers, developed new internal procedures to ensure that business continuity risk was taken into account when purchasing decisions were made, developed mitigation measures and developed a questionnaire for assessing the level business continuity of suppliers.

The project deliverables were developed on time and to budget.
