Gillian Logie

Senior Consultant

MA (Hons), MA, MBCI

Gillian Logie is one of our most experienced Senior Consultants, with an extensive professional background in incident response and crisis management. As a member and accredited instructor of the Business Continuity Institute, she provides world-class consultancy and training for clients looking to enhance their organisational resilience.

Gillian acts as our simulated exercise guru, with a wealth of experience in designing and delivering realistic validation scenarios for clients worldwide. Her previous involvement with major exercises includes liaising with government bodies and regulators, emergency services, stakeholders and other third parties to create a realistic, but safe, learning environment. She has also designed major exercises at hazardous sites to ensure compliance with COMAH regulations in the UK, as well as pollution simulations to satisfy the requirements of SOSREP. Her latest major undertaking involved developing and coordinating a simulated exercise which required simultaneous client response in London and Milan.

Gillian’s previous role as a Project Manager for a multinational training and response provider supplied her with a wide experience of developing and implementing incident and crisis management plans, role-specific training for emergency responders and simulated exercises. Gillian also acted as a member of client incident management teams, responding to real and simulated events as HR response coordinator. Her vital role ensured that the people element of her client’s response was managed in an effective and sensitive manner.

Gillian’s passion for response and recovery stretches into her academic experience as well - she holds a postgraduate Masters’ degree in Disasters, Adaptation and Development from King’s College London.

If she’s not working diligently towards her client’s needs, Gillian can often be found staring at PlanB’s office map, dreaming of future travels. She also loves comedy shows and providing the office with weird and wonderful types of tea.
