Command and Control Centre Development
PlanB Consulting has advised a number of clients on developing, equipping and operating command and control rooms. They have also helped clients prepare procedures for rooms and trained staff in their use.
One example of our work is the development of the Command and Control Room for Anglian Water.
PlanB project managed and developed the Anglian Water command and control room this was used by the Company Incident Room Team (Tactical Team) and the ‘The Major Incident Strategy Team’ (Strategic Team). This involved developing the communications, logging system, information boards and developing the incident room procedures.
It also involved the development of a call centre for facilitation of press enquiries and developing a fully equipped media interview room.
The room was kept on standby and a weekly check of the equipment was carried out.
Since then, the room has been used successfully for a number of major incidents.
